American Pie
Starring: Jason Biggs, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Sean W. Scott, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth Director: Chris & Paul Weitz Rated: 12
Studio: Universal
Rating: 9/10
Very funny, that I can say for sure. I really liked American Pie. I couldn't stop laughing and neither could the audience. It was hilarious from the start to the end. It is probably the best comedy I've seen in years. It features some cool characters and hot chicks.
The kind of weird thing is that the actors and actresses are not the same age as the characters they play. Some are seriously more mature. But who cares. If the chicks are hot and the scenes are funny as hell, then fudge it.
America Pie tells a story about four school friends who want to get laid before the prom. But it doesn't seem to work out very well. A lot of funny scenes fill the screen at once. American Pie has a lot of funny and very adultery and dirty jokes. The friends hang out looking for the right ones. Some already have girlfriends but haven't had the opportunity to score with them. American Pie shows a lot of sex and sex-themed jokes, which is great.

American Pie 2
Starring: Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Seann William Scott, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Shannon Elizabeth, Eugene Levy, Natasha Lyonne and Chris Owen. Director: James B. Rogers Studio: Universal
rating: 8/9
It was just a matter of time before a sequel to the very successful American Pie evolved from the idea/script stage to actually 'getting it made.' Everybody is back for the sequel, the whole fucking cast I might add! Wisely enough, the directors of the original chose not to direct and let James B. Rogers take over (he was the first assistant director on the original and directed this year's Say It Isn't So). Adam Herz wrote the sequel and shares story credit with David H. Steinberg (check out his first, real screenwriting gig, Slackers!). With that said, let me get into the aptly-titled American Pie 2.
The story can be described in less than one sentence. When I think about it, I doubt that's a good thing. This is the story, not plot: Summer approaches and the main characters (Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch and Stifler) reunite after their first year in college, having only one thing in mind: chill and party all the way. After partying at Stifler's has been terminated by the coppers, the guys have to find an alternate way. Kevin calls his bro (Casey Affleck) and things are going to work out. You'll see. In order to make it through the summer, the guys need cash (obviously). In order to make money, they start painting a house for two women, who you see are lesbians. Meanwhile, the guys hang at a beach house that Kevin's bro told him about. A new place to hang and party! But where are the girls? They'll come in handy later for they are the plot devices that make the sex in the movie work (how offensive that may be, I do not care).

8 Mile movie
Starring: Eminem, Kim Basinger, Brittany Murphy, Mekhi Phifer, Eugene Byrd Written by: Scott Silver Directed by: Curtis Hanson
Rated: R
Rating:7
In his feature film debut, Eminem is Jimmy Smith Jr., a poor aspiring rapper living in a trailer park on Detroit's 8 Mile Rd.--the city's perimeter road which separates it from the 'burbs, or more specifically, the blacks from the whites. After breaking up with his girlfriend Janeane (Taryn Manning), Jimmy, nicknamed "Rabbit," heads back to the trailer park to live with his mom (Kim Basinger), a lush with a penchant for bingo. He gets a day job in a factory so he can save enough money to get back on his feet, but at night heads to the Shelter, a hip-hop club where the city's best rappers "battle" each other in 45-second rounds of verbally abusive rhymes. Even though his friends, including Shelter MC Future (Mekhi Phifer), believe in him, Rabbit suffers stage fright and freezes like a deer in the headlights when it comes to competition time. But he realizes his entire future--and getting out of Detroit--rests on making it in the hip-hop world and cutting his own demo. To do so, Rabbit must first find his voice and win a coveted battle. The battles, whether you like hip-hop or not, are worth the price of admission alone.
